Austrian Blues Challenge 2026

In 2010, the European Blues Union (EBU) was registered in Brussels as a European interest group for artists, event organizers, media, and promoters in the blues field. Austria was one of its 18 founding members.

For the past 12 years, the European Blues Union has organized the annual European Blues Challenge , in which each participating country is represented by one act. From 2025 onwards, this act will be determined as part of the Austrian Blues Challenge.
This provides an additional platform for talented blues bands and blues solo acts from Austria.

The winning act from this Austrian Blues Challenge 2026 will be sent to the European Blues Challenge 2027 and will receive a contribution towards the costs of participating in the EBC 2027 .

In addition, all participants in the Austrian Blues Challenge have the chance to win a record deal with Wolf Records International .

Furthermore, the winning act will be featured in the BluesTalk section of CONCERTO, a music magazine that has been around for 35 years, and will receive free promotional services from Blind Rope Music Agency GmbH as an additional prize.
